Year 3&4

Our Year 3 and 4 students have been diving into the forces around us through exciting investigations! They explored friction by rolling toy cars down ramps covered with different materials—no material, bubble wrap, microfibre cloth, plastic, and aluminium foil—to see how each surface affected the car's movement. They also explored magnetic forces by testing various objects to see which materials are magnetic and had fun discovering how bar magnets can attract or repel each other depending on their poles.

Year 5&6

Our Year 5 and 6 students have been busy exploring the fascinating world of electrical energy! They’ve been learning how electrical energy can be transformed into kinetic and sound energy through making electric circuits with fans and speakers. As part of their investigations, they’ve also been testing a range of materials to discover which ones act as insulators and which ones conduct electricity.

Karoo's Garden

A big thank you to our wonderful garden volunteers, Nicole Glancy and Scott Bednarz, for their incredible work in our school garden this term! With the help of our enthusiastic Science and Environment Captains and the Green Team, Nicole led a planting session that introduced a wide variety of new plants to the space. The garden is now looking fantastic—be sure to stop by, check out the new additions, and watch them grow!
