On Friday 9th May, many of our talented Karoo athletes competed in Wantirna District Athletics. All students showed Karoo values of tenacity and personal excellence through their grit and determination whilst competing in their events and kindness toward their peers and competitors. After a tough day Karoo came FIRST overall and we brought home the champion shield and premiers pennant!
Well done to all students and a BIG congratulations to Ava S, Lilly V, Jade V, Chloe V, Kaitlyn S, Mia M, Zalia H, Annabelle L, Kirra T, Natalie A, Alicia G, Alira C, Sam G, Kai W, Jasper Z, Leo D, Zander B, Hunter T, Alex G, Timmy T and Yevin G who are progressing to Division Athletics in Term 4!
Another sporting event this term was our District Cross Country. Well done to all 60 students who represented Karoo with pride. After a tough day of competition, where all Karoo students not only pushed their physical limits in 2km and 3k races, but also showed great sportsmanship cheering on their school mates and congratulating their competitors from other schools. Overall Karoo came a very close SECOND and came home with the runners up pennant.

And to wrap up an an amazing start to Term 2 sport, this week we had 9 girls compete in the Knox Division Football Gala day! Without any subs, our girls played 7 straight games without complaining, all the while showing tenacity, pride and amazing sportsmanship. After a VERY tough day of games, our Karoo girls (Chloe V, Jade V, Allegra P, Marley A, Kalei P, Ella W, Alira C, Brooklyn A, and Chloe A) finished 6th place out of 15 schools!! An amazing effort to all girls involved!
