Mindfulness Centre Newsletter

We have had an exciting two weeks in the Mindfulness Centre with the launch of our first ever “Friendology Buddies.” For the past term, adedicated group of our Year 6 students have been training for this mentorship role. They will be out and about in the Prep–2 area every Tuesday and Thursday, helping our junior students navigate simple friendship fires. The Friendology Buddies will also be helping students find people to play with and will be looking out for great friendship skills. This group of students is to be congratulated on their dedication to this role, their desire to help others, and their enthusiasm.

As the term progresses, the weather turns, and students battle illnesses, we notice that many of our students struggle to navigate their friendships and the typical challenges of the day. If your child is unwell, itis important to keep them home until they have fully recovered. Students who attend school while sick often struggle to concentrate, participate, and engage positively with their peers. Allowing your child time to restand recover at home helps ensure they return to school refreshed and ready to reconnect with friends, participate fully in learning, and enjoy positive social experiences.
