The Arrowsmith Program

Mastery plays a very important role in the Arrowsmith Program. There are mastery criteria built into each exercise, to indicate progress in the exercise. Students track their masteries as a means of monitoring their own progress and use this information to create meaningful and positive experiences for further motivation.

The three criteria for mastery within Arrowsmith Program exercises are:

  • A student must demonstrate that they are completing a task at a high rate of accuracy usually between 90 to 100%
  • A student must demonstrate that they are completing a task at a certain rate of speed, which indicates responses are automatic.
  • A student must demonstrate that they are completing the task accurately, quickly and across a number of trials. This indicates that the student is consistently secure at that level.

Congratulations are extended to the following students for mastering levels in their cognitive exercises.

Zoe Pidgeon-2 Handed Clocks and Lexical, Niamh Lester-L Think, Andre Arnachellum-L Think, Abbey Murphy 3 Handed clocks, Temina Charters-3 Handed clocks, Natasha Spanos-4 Handed clocks, Savinu Rajasinghe-symbol recognition, Shasmeen Aaisha-minute exact clocks, Daniel Anning-Q Sense and James Reece- L Think.
