News and Reminders:

  • Welcome to Ashleigh Patolo who will be covering 4A's class Monday through to Wednesday for the remainder of Term 3! Tabitha Carter will be covering Thursday to Friday.
  • Technology - A reminder that all students are strongly encouraged to bring their own device from home each day to school. We expect the devices to be charged at home as we cannot do this at school. We will be continuing to provide learning activities accessible online for them to access during the day. We have a limited supply of school devices available so cannot guarantee the use of these during all learning tasks.
  • Premiers Reading Challenge has started, students can log their books at home with the login details provided. If you have any trouble accessing the website, please contact your child's classroom teacher. They can log the books they are reading each night in both their diaries and the Premiers Reading Challenge website.
  • Reminder about reading, this is an expectation for all students. We have seen a decline in home reading being logged in diaries and we want to encourage students to keep up these routines at home. Reading is an important way of developing language skills, enhancing creativity and exposing students to new words and ways to use language. Please remind your child/children to write down the book they are reading in their diaries.
  • Spelling - We encourage you to work with your child to read and spell the list being sent home and to discuss the spelling rule with your child.
  • Timetables- We are also encouraging students to practice their timetables at home. We will be sending home timetable worksheets and encouraging them to complete one column a day.
  • Mushroom Growing Project- We are also completing a mushroom growing project aimed at building inquiry and teamwork skills this term! The students are excited to watch these mushrooms grow and bring them home.
  • Book week- Well done on the amazing book week costumes. What a wonderful day!
  • Camp- The grade fours have been on camp! We can't wait to share our camp updates in the following newsletter!
