How wonderful was Book Week at HPS?!!
And the fun doesn't end there! We are looking forward to a jam packed end of Term 3, with many school events planned!
Tomorrow we welcome visitors to join us for breakfast club with our Hillsmeade students. Meet us at the basketball courts for some delicious treats, games and opportunity to mix with other families. We look forward to seeing you there!
Just a reminder that Parent Teacher Conferences are being held in the afternoon/evening of Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th September. Bookings can be made online via Compass to meet with your child's teacher.
Next Friday 8th September we have Footy Day! We encourage all students to come dressed in their team's favourite colours. Remember - footy can be many codes, AFL, NRL, Rugby Union, soccer etc. So feel free to show your support for your favourite team!
Also on Friday 8th September is Year 6 MAD Day. Our year 6 students have been busy preparing their small business ideas to sell their products to all HPS students. Students are encouraged to bring gold coins along and see what is on offer! MAD Day will be held in the gym for students between 9am - 12pm.
Has your family started raising money yet?!! There are many great prizes on offer and the school will be putting the money raised towards a 'GAGA PIT" as requested by the SRC. Don't hesitate to ask your child what a GAGA PIT is! SRC are very passionate about ensuring enough money is raised for this item to be built for all students to enjoy.
Don't forget - The Colour Explosion will be in the afternoon of Thursday 14th September - more details on exact times are to follow, but we welcome the community to come along and watch this crazy event!!
Each year around mid September RUOK DAY is held across Australia. Here at Hillsmeade we like to recognise this day by completing activities in the classroom and perhaps spoiling our students with a little treat at some point throughout the day. This is a significant day for all of our community to consider checking in on each other and asking the important question "Are You Ok?" If you would like more resources and/or support, please refer to this website for further information: https://www.ruok.org.au/
Friday 15th September is the last day of Term 3. All students will be dismissed at 2.30pm, with OSHC available from this time.
Thank you to all families for your completion of the survey. We currently have just over 40% of families that have provided their thoughts and feedback. If you haven't yet, please Click here to access the survey. The Hillsmeade PIN is 617769. The survey is open until September 8th.
We are very keen to work through the results as a school staff, to continue providing your child with the best possible learning and life opportunities during their time at Hillsmeade PS.
