Principal's Report

Dear families,

Our week commenced with a Book Character Parade, there was an impressive range of costumes. It was wonderful to see so many families come along to watch the parade.

NESTING BOXES

On Tuesday Grade three and four students had the opportunity to finish off their nesting boxes and give them a coat of paint. They have done an amazing job and we certainly appreciate the help of Allison from River Connect and Bree’s father Lindsay.  The Tallygaroopna Men's Shed precut all the timber so the students could do the assembly process. Many were confident using drills and screw drivers in the assembly process. Many thanks to Bree for all her assistance in organising the activity.

FATHER’S DAY STALL

Our annual Father’s Day Stall is on Wednesday 30th August. Donations for the stall would be greatly appreciated. They can be sent along to school or be left in the basket near the office.

NEW ZEALAND PLAYHOUSE THEATRE

The interactive and hilarious adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic adventure novel ‘Treasure Island” thoroughly entertained the students and staff.  It featured crazy characters and rousing sea-shanties.

ROAD SAFETY

I would appreciate it if parents would speak to their children about bike safety. Some of our students enjoy going to the bush before and after school to ride. Unfortunately, some concerned residents have noted that they are not using the crossing and are turning right into Wren Steet. As it is a blind corner this is very dangerous.

Have a lovely weekend.

Regards Heather
