The Partridge String Quartet

A world Premiere in Mount Beauty? With the composer present? Absolutely!! Australian composer David Hush has chosen the Partridge string Quartet to present his “4th String Quartet” as part of their program here in Mount Beauty on September 2nd.

Fourteen minutes long, and in 5 movements, Hush’s work will feature in an evening of classical presentations not to be missed. David Hush’s international reputation includes prestigious awards and commissions for famous ensembles, soloists and organisations spanning three decades.  The Melbourne based Partridge String Quartet has brought back members currently working overseas for the performance and recording of Hush’s work. David Hush says: “ the Partridge Quartet came to my attention after hearing them play an excerpt from one of Beethoven’s late quartets. This convinced me that they are the perfect ensemble to bring my piece to the world.”
