Year 9

Entrepreneurship at Melbourne Polytechnic

High Ability Year 9 students made their way to Melbourne Polytechnic to attend an Introduction to Entrepreneurship workshop that opened doors to the world of startups, innovation, and business acumen.

At Melbourne Polytechnic, our students delved into the dynamic realm of entrepreneurship, guided by an industry expert. They were introduced to the methodologies used in startups, including the value proposition and business model canvases. These tools empowered our students to think critically about real-world problems and creatively about business ideas to solve them.

Throughout the day, students progressed through key stages, starting with problem identification, and then moving through to designing landing pages and mobile app wireframes to promote their business ideas. Hands-on opportunities of creating prototypes, as well as, designing and creating stickers for their business brand logo allowed students to bring their initiatives to life and fully immerse themselves in the entrepreneurial spirit.

We commend our students for their remarkable dedication throughout the day, and we look forward to witnessing the fruits of their entrepreneurial spirit in the years to come.
