Hands On Learning
HoL
Week 6 - 14th-18th August
Some of the Hands on Learning students helped plant some of the trees we received from Greater Western Water Education Team around our school on 3rd August. We selected areas where the trees had room to grow and we replaced trees that had died.
So far all are doing well.

Hol @ TLSC in partnership with Westvale Community Centre were able to secure a Street Art Workshop hosted at the College by local artist Lucas Kasper.
On Wednesday, the 16th of August, a Street Artist came to our school and taught us how to create street art. He first showed us his artwork then we made a draft of our own ideas. After that, we went outside and the artist demonstrated the techniques and how to use spray paint, then we made our own. Everyone made such cool and unique art. I made a yellow cat with big eyebags and its tongue sticking out. I really enjoyed this incursion and would love for something like this to happen again!

This week in HoL we are continuing to make the picnic tables staff have ordered.
We have planted some wildflower and vegetables seedlings that were donated to us by Brimbank City Council.
With the help from Ian our volunteer, we have start to make a wooden wheelbarrow planter.
Next week we have our last visit to Bunnings for a DIY session with Dee the Bunnings organiser.
