Senior Girls Volleyball A – Shayanne K

"The win of the century! Straight set smash! The girls volleyball A team have completely taken over their opponents. We came home with a 3-0 win over Donvale Christian College. The match itself was exhilarating, with scores coming as close as 22-25, which was a little nerve racking, but in the end, we got our game together and finished it off strong and as our coach Rob said, they were the 'second best team' we played.

Overall, this season has been a blast for all the girls on the team. We learnt to work together, showed up to trainings and proved ourselves worthy of the 1st place medals. A huge achievement for us as we were the only team to use 3 touches effectively so massive congratulations to the team. Also, huge congrats to our MVP, Clara Arena!"

Senior Girls Table Tennis – Claire C and Ms Jones

"This year our team was extremely cohesive, banding together to achieve the ultimate goal of winning the Girls Table Tennis Senior Sport Grand Final. I’m extremely proud of the team for learning and using new skills and mentoring each other so we could reach our personal bests. Coming from middle school to senior school, I’m extremely grateful to have had the chance to bond with more senior students through sports. Well done everyone!

The senior girls table tennis won their grand final against Donvale, 8 games to 1 game.

Huntingtower were more experienced & combined very well as a team.

The majority of Huntingtower girls were undefeated in both singles & doubles in the grand final & throughout the whole season.

Congratulations to all the girls for a fantastic season!"

Senior Boys Volleyball B – Ms Busby

"Never back down, never give up! Senior Boys Volleyball B's came from a nail-biting 23-25, 2 sets down respectively, composing themselves to take the next 3 sets over Donvale Christian College to win the Grand Final 3 sets to 2! Some extraordinary feats of athleticism on display in many of the points, by both Faris, Josh H, Jude, and Liam, with our setters, Jackie, Liam, and Nihar working so hard to feed it to them. Excellent blocking by Dhyan, Josh, Aryan and Matthew and calm and consistent setting by Nihar, Josh H, Jeremy and Faris. Nic, always reliable in the back court with support from Tharul over the season.

Thank you also to our A team supporters and to Michael X and Daniel L for their crucial roles as lines people on the day. This was an all-round team effort and I was so proud to have observed this team's commitment, respect for one another, their sportsmanship, their growth, and their joy for the game.

A huge thankyou to our Captain, Faris for his leadership and direction on game days and to Jimmy and Michael for sharing their love and passion for volleyball and for guiding our students to play, not just 3 touch volleyball but very good volleyball!"

Senior Boys Table Tennis – Rey D

"Table tennis this season was an absolute blast. Everyone in the team were very dedicated and supportive, which allowed us to perform better, and inevitably, contribute to our win.

As the season came to a close, we beat Donvale 12-0 in the semi-finals, and for finals we brought home the win against Mount Scopus with a 11-1 victory.

Overall, table tennis this year was a great experience, and I hope we can continue to see these great results for the upcoming years.”

Good luck to all our runners! May the best house win!

Thank you to all the staff for assisting in supervising and supporting the program.
