2023 Huntingtower Production - The 39 Steps

 

As the dust settles on what has been another highly successful school production at Huntingtower, I would like to take the opportunity and say a heartfelt thank you to all the members of the community who came out and supported the show. The 39 Steps was a daring choice that provided lots of opportunities but also many challenges in staging the show. The over 100 students who acted, directed, designed and crewed the show were fantastic in both their approach and creativity in bringing the production to life. I am very proud of them all. 

 

I would like to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible hard work and dedication of Huntingtower’s staff, who provided exciting opportunities to our students and utilised their own wonderful expertise in the production. The ethos of the Production Department is that if a student can do it, they should. It is in this light that the staff of the production deserve extra acknowledgement as they went above and beyond to provide amazing opportunities for our students, often at the cost of a significant amount of time to their own department’s deadlines. Watching students enjoy such experiences (e.g. building a car from wooden pieces) was a highlight of the process for many.

I hope that you enjoyed the show and most importantly had a few laughs along the way. We certainly loved presenting it to you, and I look forward to seeing you again in 2024!
