Principal's Address

Hello Moonie families,     

 

We are publishing this additional online newsletter before the end of term to update everyone on what's been happening in the last couple of weeks of term and to inform you of routine changes and calendar dates for next term.

Book Week

The students looked fantastic in their Book Week costumes. Thank you everyone for getting involved. 

 

Garden Day

Thank you to the Hirst family for hosting us at their garden day. We had a fantastic time exploring, learning and playing in this little slice of paradise. 

Visit to RTC

Our senior class was invited to the RTC for a virtual reality STEM session. We explored Sphero robots, stepped forward in time to virtual reality worlds and even got to step back in time and tour some vintage cars that were passing by. 

 

 

Term 4 Music update. 

Next term, we will welcome Brandon Hayward from Rural Guitar Academy to our school each Wednesday. Brandon will teach our P-6 students ukulele and guitar lessons. These lessons will be provided at no additional cost to families. 

 

 Brandon has a couple of spaces available for private lessons. If you would like to arrange and pay for private guitar lessons for your child/children, please email Brandon at ruralguitaracademy@gmail.com

 

Term 4 Swimming

Emus versus Kookies swim carnival is Wednesday 22nd of November. Small School's Swimming Carnival is Monday 27th of November. Swim block is November 13-17 (Week 7.)

 

Year 5 and 6 camp at Koojarawon

Could parents of these students please keep an eye out for notes regarding this excursion tomorrow. 

 

Prac student in 3-6 class

We will welcome Sara Osborne to the 3-6 class for the first two weeks of next term for the first professional experience of her university studies. 

 

Kindy Open Day

All families with children turning 4 by June 30th, 2024, are invited to attend our Kindy Open Day tomorrow from 8:30-11am. 

 

Tuck Shop Tomorrow

Tuck shop is on tomorrow instead of Friday. 

Farewell Seufert Family

It has been a privilege and a joy to have the Seufert family join us from Victoria this term. Both Melanie and Blake have provided our staff with various professional development sessions and have volunteered to help out around the school at various times. We are very grateful for their time and expertise. We wish Melanie, Blake, Eden and August all the very best upon their return to Melbourne. 

 

Term 4 Commencement

Term 4 starts TUESDAY October 3rd. We look forward to seeing you all then.
