Quirindi Preschool Visit

We had a delightful visit from thirty children and their educators from the Quirindi preschool last Thursday. The students joined with our Kinder students to complete the sensory walk and play some games. Stage 3 students helped our visitors to complete a fun craft activity. All our students played with the preschoolers during recess. Thanks to our fabulous Kinder teacher Miss Pilgrim for planning the session.

Kindness Corner

The recipients of my Kindness Corner award for this week are a number of students who were amazing helpers with our visitors from the preschool. Congratulations to Marshal Cook, Lyla Cook, Kendall O’Rance & Phoebe Farrant-Wills for helping the preschool visitors so beautifully.

Quirindi Show

What a fabulous response from our students! Thank you to our families for bringing your children along to the Quirindi show. Our students danced up a country storm! I thought they were amazing! Thanks to Mrs Bartholomew and Jade Wilson for creating the dances.

The Art entries at the show were very interesting to view and many of our students won awards. Following is a snippet of our very talented artist's work. Congratulations to all our students entered and thank you to Mrs Barnes for coordinating our entries.

Infants Visit to Capitol Theatre

I wish all our Infants students and teachers a wonderful excursion to Tamworth tomorrow and I look forward to hearing about all the fun when you return to school.

Staff Whereabouts

This Thursday and Friday our leadership team (Mrs Canham, Mrs Meade & Mrs Wilson and myself) will be joining other Principals and leadership teams from our Diocese for professional learning presented by Dr Lyn Sharratt. This professional learning is a continuation of the collaborative work our system has been engaged with over the last 6 years. We will be focusing on assessment and effective practices for School Improvement. Mrs Bartholomew will be leading the school in our absence.

On Friday Mrs Bartholomew will be coordinating the primary teams representing our school at the Diocesan Soccer Gala Day in Tamworth. Mrs Cortis, Mrs Smyth & Leisl Cooper will be attending too. The primary students not participating in the gala day will be expected to attend school and they have Mrs Rankin teaching them. The Infants teachers Miss Pilgrim and Mrs Crane will be teaching their classes as usual.

Have a safe and happy week.
