District Athletics Report

Last Thursday, some students from our school were chosen to be a part of the District Athletics team. SJV went to compete against other students from different schools. The students participated in many events such as hurdles, long jump, triple jump, shot put, sprints, discus and relay. This was a day filled with excitement and energy for those who participated.

SJV students put their heart and soul into their events and as usual showed good sportsmanship. It was a great experience to attend and everyone should be proud of themselves. There will be a few students who have made it to the next round and will be going on to division. Overall SJV placed 5th out of the 8 schools who competed in this round.

Our students had an outstanding day at Knox Athletics track! SJV had 51 students compete at the 2023 Wellington District Athletics Carnival held last Thursday. There were many top 4 finishes throughout the day, and by days end, we had a total of 14 students qualify for the Monash-Waverley Division Athletics carnival to be held on October 5th next term.
