Grade 3 News

A couple of weeks ago on a Friday after school, Mrs Sanchez returned to the Grade 3 classroom having gone off to do some work at the printer. The classroom door was propped open, as it had been when she left, but the classroom was no longer empty. She went in calmly, and was suddenly shocked by a swooping black bird. She screamed louder than she has ever done before, and Mrs Kreiner from the next classroom came to see….

 

This is how Grade 3 prepared for their narrative writing about a currawong. They are trying to include an interesting start, dialogue, descriptive sentences, and a clearly developing story from beginning to end.

During our Unit of Inquiry, we have been investigating ‘Design and Technologies can be used to develop sustainable practices’. This week we have thought about reusing a container for a different purpose. Here are some photos of the creative work they did to make something else. Could people do something like this more often to help our world?
