Attendance

Celebrating Great Attendance Across Our School
At Williamstown North, being at school every day really does make a difference for learning, for friendships, and for children feeling connected to their classroom community. Thank you to all families for your ongoing support with morning routines, arriving on time, and helping your child develop strong attendance habits.
This fortnight, our overall school attendance has shown positive improvement. You’ll see the comparison graph below, which highlights our whole-school shift from Week 5 to Week 7.
🎉 Attendance Trophy Update! 🎉
CLASS ATTENDANCE AWARDS
Each fortnight we celebrate the classes with the highest attendance across the school. Congratulations to our winners this cycle:
P–2 Trophy Winner: 2D – 97%
2D have shown fantastic consistency and enthusiasm by coming to school ready to learn each day. Well done to all students in 2D!
Year 3–6 Trophy Winner: 5E – 96%
A huge congratulations to 5E for their outstanding attendance and commitment to learning. Keep up the brilliant effort!
Why Attendance Matters
Every day at school builds on the one before it. When children attend regularly, they stay connected with their classmates, feel part of the group, and continue to build their learning confidence. Strong attendance habits don’t just help now — they set students up well for future years too. Even small improvements can make a noticeable difference to a child’s progress and wellbeing.
How Families Can Help
Simple routines make a big impact. Having a consistent morning routine and arriving before the bell helps students start the day calmly and ready to learn. Wherever possible, scheduling holidays or appointments outside school hours also supports steady attendance. And if things become challenging, please reach out — we are always here to work alongside families.
We’re Here to Support You
If your child is finding it difficult to attend school regularly, or if you notice changes in their willingness to come to school, our Wellbeing and Leadership Teams are available to help. Early conversations often make a big difference, and we’re committed to partnering with families so that every student at WNPS can attend, feel connected, and thrive.
Regards,
Wellbeing Team.
