Rachel Snedden- Celebrating 30 Years!

On behalf of all the students and music tutors of the instrumental program, present and past, we'd like to acknowledge our wonderful Music Director, Rachel Snedden.

Rachel began teaching at CNPS in July 1995 (yep, that's last century!) and has taught recorder to generations of students in our community. She has written her own series of recorder books, the Rainbow Recorder Series, and is passionate about providing performance opportunities right from the beginning of each student's musical journey. As well as soirees and assembly performances at school, Rachel's more advanced students participate in festivals, competitions and eisteddfods.

Rachel is the coordinator of the Instrumental Music Program at CNPS, organising enrolments, lesson timetables, ensembles and regular performances. Approximately a third of the students at CNPS attend weekly lessons and music group rehearsals. Rachel ensures the smooth running of the entire program - not an easy job, especially during the logistical challenges of the pandemic, or the current construction works.

We'd like to thank Rachel for her phenomenal contribution to CNPS over the past three decades, and for her role in fostering the academic and social benefits of music in our community. Above all, we'd like to celebrate the pure joy she has generated by bringing people together through music.

Congratulations on 30 years!
