Sun Protection @ ENPS

Essendon North Primary School's Sun Protection Policy is required to be enacted in mid to late August, as the UV ratings increase.

We are currently monitoring UV ratings, and will advise our community when hats become compulsory at ENPS. Please keep an eye out for future notification via Compass.

When our Sun Protection Policy is enacted, all students and staff will be required to wear a sun protective hat that shades the face, neck and ears for all outdoor activities. Students will be required to wear a school hat in alignment with our Student Dress Code, for example broad-brimmed, legionnaire or bucket hats. Peak caps and visors are not considered a suitable alternative. Students who are not wearing appropriate protective clothing or a hat will be asked to play in the shade or in a suitable area protected from the sun. Once enacted, this requirement will remain in place until the end of April next year.
