School Council

We are almost half way through the term! Students have been engaged in exciting activities and several of our learning environment projects have been completed to provide us with a some new facilities!
Gratitude for our Wonderful Principals
On behalf of our school community, a heartfelt thank you to our amazing principals Kate Barletta, Alice McKinzie, Alice Stephens and Connor Smith, for all they do every day to make our school a safe, engaging, and inspiring place to learn. Over the last few weeks, our students and parents have been sharing messages of appreciation for the 'Gratitude Tree' - a reminder of the big impact of your care and leadership. A big shout out to Carole Upton for compiling these and Jodie Elliot for doing her magic to get them looking amazing for the tree! We were thrilled to celebrate our school principals at today's whole school assembly and share the lovely gratitude tree messages with you all.
Learning Environments
Library is now open!
A huge shout-out to the wonderful parent and community volunteers who have given our library a fresh new look. From new shelves and furniture to modern new signage, your time and effort have created a warm, welcoming space that will spark a love of reading for years to come. The library opened its doors again on Monday 4th August and students were excited to see the makeover.
CCTV Surveillance System and Improved Security
The Executive Team has been working through the installation of CCTV at ENPS to help monitor unwanted visitors and keep our students and school safe. An update was provided in a previous newsletter (CCTV). The Executive Team are currently in correspondence with the relevant security installation provider and marking up the best locations around the school in preparation for the installation to commence. More updates to come as this project progresses!
Community Events
Our next VIP Morning is 5th September 8:55am - 9:35am to celebrate fathers, father figures and all other VIPs in our lives. Please make sure you can join this in-school event and support the students and ENPS community.
We are also looking for volunteers for Movie Night at the end of November. More information and an official call for volunteers will be shared soon on Compass so keep an eye out!
Our next School Council meeting is scheduled for Monday 18th August from 6:30pm.
As a council we would like to remind our community that we are here for any questions or concerns you may have, and that we will continue to represent the community, including parents, carers and students to the best of our ability. If there are any matters in regards to school governance, suggestions or general information that you wish to be brought up at the next school council meeting please contact the school office on 9379 3979 or email essendon.north.ps@education.vic.gov.au so your request can be added to the agenda.
