Book Week Dress-Up Day

Book Week is just around the corner!

As part of our celebrations, students are invited to come to school dressed as their favourite book character next Friday 22nd August.

We do not expect families to purchase expensive costumes; encourage children to get creative by creating costumes with items found at home, using paint and cardboard or by making a mask. Google “book week costumes” or check out Pinterest for ideas. We recommend costumes are comfortable for all day wear and please – no toy weapons such as guns, swords, or hammers.

If children have a copy of the book their costume is based on then we suggest they bring it along on the day so they can share their inspiration with their classmates, but it’s not essential if you don’t have a copy.

This event is not compulsory.

Students who do not wish to dress up must still wear their school uniform.
