Welcome

From WS Head of Campus

It is hard to believe we are already over half-way through the year!

As I reflect on the year so far, it has been good to see the vast learning opportunities and academic growth evident in our students at Waverley Christian College. They have been able to engage in many extracurricular activities, but what is most exciting is to see them develop in their faith and learn who they are in Christ. It is our prayer that school is a time where our students discover their own love for God and grow into all He has called them to be.

As you continue your journey post-school, I encourage you to continue walk with the Lord and have Him direct you in all things.

WS Building Projects

We are excited to announce that renovations to the Oval-Wing have begun at the WS Campus! The renovations are part of a ‘WSS Staff Facilities Upgrade’ and will bring much-needed upgrades to Secondary staff offices.

Included in the renovations are new staff bathrooms, Year Level Coordinator offices, staff collaboration spaces, and a Secondary Reception area. The building works are scheduled to be completed mid-Term 4.

Upcoming Events

Into the Woods Production

We warmly invite you to the upcoming Waverley Christian College’s Secondary production of Into the Woods.

This unique reimagining of the beloved Sondheim musical transports the action underground, into the heart of a London bomb shelter during the Blitz. There, in the shadows of war, fairytale characters emerge with stories of longing, sacrifice, and a curse that begins a quest for redemption.

But Into the Woods is more than a fairytale. Within the fairytale lies a powerful reflection of our human experience: brokenness, temptation, longing, and the hope of redemption. Our story mirrors the fallen state of the world, yet through each trial, lesson, and act of forgiveness, we see glimpses of God's grace at work.

This production reminds us that it is not magic that gets us through life’s darkest moments, but faith, love, and community. In the face of fear and uncertainty, it is these truths that lead us through the woods, and safely home. We can’t wait to take you on this journey Into the Woods.

WS 20-Year Alumni Reunion

On Thursday 13th March, we were blessed to celebrate with our graduates from 2005 at their 20-year reunion. Congratulations also to the class of 2005 for setting the new attendance record for the biggest WS 20-Year reunion yet! The evening held much joy as past students caught up – some for the first time since leaving school – and reflected on all that God has done in each of their lives, and in the College since graduating.

WS 5-Year Alumni Reunion

Recently our 2020 cohort returned for their 5-year reunion. The evening, on Thursday 26th June, was a wonderful success, and included presentations from Mr Andrew Bawden, Mrs Ann Conibear and Principal Rod Ramsay. We were blessed as well to hear from the 2020 College Captains Li-Nelle Teo and Joshua Oettinger, who shared a few words and prayed for the evening. Following dinner, the alumni also enjoyed a short tour around campus led by Mr Joel Chapman. This reunion was especially significant to the graduating class, as so many of their special events throughout Year 12 as well as their 1-year reunion, were impacted by the COVID-19 epidemic and lockdowns. Thank you to all those who attended and joined us in celebrating this milestone.

NWS 5-Year Alumni Reunion

For the first time, the NWS Class of 2020 reunion was hosted on campus on Thursday 19th June 2025. The evening was full of connection, laughter and memories. The Head of Campus, Mr Mark Crnkovic, was the presenter for the event, featuring nostalgic photos, fun games like Human Bingo, with Mr Aaron Woolnough facilitating the Kahoot game, and a delicious meal.

Alumni toured the new Junior Secondary building with Mr Adam Dearness and Mr Mark Radun, and listened to heartfelt reflections from alumni speakers Jeremy Zhang, Joel Jacob, Miriam Yacoob and Nathan Fernando about how their Christian education shaped their lives. The night also included an opening prayer by Mrs Shirley Patterson and an encouraging address from Principal Rod Ramsay.
