Middle School News

Upper Primary (Years 5-6)

Upper Primary students have been having a fantastic time exploring and creating repeating and growing patterns, using blocks, beads and many other different materials. This Term, students will be creating a story about a character from the Phonics program. They have been busy thinking about their story and taking different photos around the classroom and school with their chosen characters.

Lower Secondary (Years 7-8)

The Lower Secondary Team are enjoying exploring Space as this Term’s Inquiry topic. Students have been learning exciting facts about the planets in our Solar System through hands-on and interactive lessons. They have been demonstrating their knowledge using Book Creator on their iPads, as well as through creative activities such as painting and constructing planet models.

Lower Secondary students are also continuing to enjoy the Travel Education Program, where they are learning essential life skills such as locating bus interchanges and train stations, tapping on and off with their Mykis, and planning journeys. Our Travel Training groups have recently enjoyed excursions to Melbourne Central, mini golf, and various parks and playgrounds. This week, some groups are looking forward to going bowling and visiting our school farm at Keilor Downs College!
