Around The School

Wayang (Shadow Puppetry) with Bima, our Indonesian Ambassador!

Last term, the senior school completed their work with the Australian Government funded program called ILLA (Indonesian Language Learning Ambassadors).

Senior students had the exciting opportunity to work with our latest ambassador, Bima. They learned about the ancient tradition of ‘Wayang’ or ‘Shadow Puppetry’ with Bima, getting the chance to make their own wayangs and perform a short play with them behind a shadow puppet screen!

We farewelled Bima and now look forward to meeting two new ambassadors this semester!

Junior Rotation Day - End of Term 2

Towards the end of last term the Junior students had a 'rotations day' where they participated in lots of fun activities. They were in mixed groups with students from Prep, Year 1 and Year 2 in each.

- With Paige we had Sport on the turf and played games on the playground

- With Mrs Harbour we did a beautiful art activity of a Winter tree artwork.

- With Miss Greenbank we had Science and got to make Oobleck, making a big mess!

- With Mrs Morrison we engaged with Social Skills, enjoying time to interact and play with friends.

We had the best day!

Victorian Country Short Course Championships - Swimming

Congratulations to St Pats swimmers!

Well done to Lily Hills, Billy Lynch and Ted Gladman who have all qualified for the Victorian Country Short Course Championships, taking place in August at Bendigo. The event hosts the most talented junior swimmers from across regional Victoria.

Lily and Ted will compete in the 50m breaststroke, while Billy has qualified for the 50m backstroke. All three are also close to qualifying for additional events, and we wish them the best as they chase those times over the coming weeks.

Congratulations on this outstanding achievement!
