UNO Countdown Begins

There is just under 2 weeks to go before registrations close for our inaugural UNO Tournament. There are still spaces remaining, so don't forget to register. The Tournament runs from 2 – 6 December in the library, during the lunch break. Each day we will see a knockout round until there are just 4 players left to compete in the finals on Friday. There are some great prizes to be won including UNO Attack! and canteen vouchers. Use the sign-up sheet in the library to register for the big event. The game is afoot!

Community Jig-Saw

During Term 3 & 4 we have had jig-saw puzzles for students to complete during recess and lunch in the library. This has proved very popular with two 1000-piece jig-saws completed and a third just finished. It’s been lovely to see students working together and chatting. Another great example of how the library is working to create a safe welcoming space for students.

New eBooks

Every month, a new selection of fiction and non-fiction books are added to the library’s eBook and audio book collections. Here is a sample of what’s been added this month.

There are a range of extra features such as the ability to take and save notes, an immersive reader that gives you the ability to change the font, background colour and language. You can even have it read to you if you prefer. If you have any issues, please come and see Library staff, we’re happy to help troubleshoot with you.

You can access the platform through Compass. Simply go to School Favourites (the star) and choose ‘Library eBook platform’. You will need to choose the school (Norwood Secondary College) when you first visit the website. Once you’ve done that, login using your Compass username and password and you’re ready to start borrowing.
