Principal's Update
Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you all enjoyed the public holiday break with your families. After this week there a only 6 weeks of the term left! As the busyness of this time of the year encroaches upon us, this reflection might remind us that it is only in stillness we can truly see our worth and likeness in God;
Be Still and Know
There lives deep within each human heart
a poet and a maker of music.
And if you are still and listen you can hear
the music of this human life, YOUR life.
For the maker of all life and love bids you,
bids you to come.
Come and play the music, hear the poetry,
be still and know!
Mission Day Fete
On Friday 25th October we held our annual Mission Day fete. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to display their initiative in setting up stalls and activities to raise money for those who are less fortunate. All the money has been counted and the children raised $2300 which will be forwarded to Catholic Missions. Well done to all the children, a great lesson in social justice.
Prep orientation sessions
Prep orientation sessions for our 2025 students will be held after school hours on Monday 25th November, Tuesday 26th November and Wednesday 27th November. Information went out last week informing families of which of these sessions they are invited to attend. The children will be back on the morning of Tuesday 10th December. On this day they will meet their Grade 6 buddies.
2025 Classes
We are still in the process of finalising staff positions for 2025. I will inform you of classroom / specialist teachers in the coming weeks. Next week the teachers will make a start on organising class groupings for 2025. The children will spend a ‘move up’ morning with their 2025 classroom teacher and class grouping on Tuesday 10th December.
Leadership Retreat
This Thursday and Friday Jodie Hassett, Judy Carr, Paula Parish and myself will be attending leadership professional development. On this retreat we will be setting goals and priorities for the year ahead. Should you need to speak to someone in leadership, please make contact with Elissa Rodger.
Enjoy the rest of your week.
