Western Chances Scholarship

Doherty’s Creek College is proud to announce that 7 students have  been successfully awarded Western Chances Scholarships. These students have all demonstrated excellence in an area of their specific interest as well as having good attendance, strong academic performance and a hardworking and positive attitude to learning. 

The Western Chances program gives young people in Melbourne’s west the chance to fulfil their potential and overcome barriers to success by providing scholarships, opportunity programs and ongoing support. The scholarships support talented and motivated secondary students who may not otherwise have an opportunity to pursue their education dreams.

We also have 2 students who were awarded Western Chances scholarships last year and have successfully renewed their scholarship for 2024.

This is a huge achievement for all students.  It means that providing they keep up their amazing work – they will be able to continue to receive a scholarship each year they are in education including all of their secondary schooling as well as any tertiary study.
