Arts Week

Miss Emily and Miss Maria

In Week 6 this term, we will celebrate ARTS WEEK at PMPS. Wahoo … can’t wait!

Arts Dress Up Day

When: Monday 11th November.

Students will be celebrating the Arts in class, PLUS we’ll have a DRESS UP DAY! Costumes can be inspired by:

  • Performing Arts: choose from a favourite performer, singer, actor, artist, musician or instrument.
  • Or if you prefer the Visual Arts, choose an artist, art style, artwork or items to create art with and dress up.
  • Either way … plan your costume soon!

It is customary that we support a charity through our dress up days. If you can, please bring a gold coin donation to school which will be forwarded to the Royal Children’s Hospital. We’ll let you know how much we have donated in the next newsletter.

Art Show

When: Monday 11th & Tuesday 12th November, 8.30–9am and 3.30–4pm (both days).

Where: Art Room

Be sure to invite your loved ones along to see the wonderful artistic talents of our students on show, and the extraordinary skill that Miss Emily has fostered in them!

JAM Band

On Wednesday 13th November, students have the opportunity to attend the 75 minute performance of JAM Band. On tour from Adelaide, the band will play a range of music – pop, rock, jazz, funk and more – for our Arts Week enjoyment! It’ll be a regular rock concert right here in the Music Room!

This performance is part of the Semester Two events package for all year levels and has been subsidised by the winnings of our wonderful parent band, The Portals! We are grateful for this amazing infusion of funds.

We hope you enjoy ARTS WEEK 2024!
