Socktober and Coin Drop

On Thursday 31 October, HTS supported Catholic Mission by having a Crazy Sock Day and donating money to our Coin Drop. A massive thank you and congratulations to the students and staff who raised $805.10 which will help support Catholic Mission and the children of Mongolia.

So many students and staff had bright and colourful socks on for the day! Well done HTS!

Vinnies Sleepout

Last Friday, 1st November, our Year 10 Vinnies Exec led a Vinnies Sleepout to raise funds and awareness for those people who do not have a stable roof over their head. Congratulations to Maryanne, Mollie and Yana who organised and led a wonderful night and the support of Mrs McLachlan. Activities included shelter building using cardboard which endured a shake test and being wet with a hose to test if they were waterproof! Thanks to Mrs Rainger, Mrs Dolbel and Mr Eshman for judging the shelter-building competition. Students had soup for dinner, played some games and watch a movie. It was a thought provoking experience and we appreciate those who made to effort to attend. The aim of the evening was to:

  1. give students an opportunity to spend time appreciating what it would be like to live without the privileges they have.
  2. give students the opportunity to celebrate the works of St Vincent de Paul.
  3. raise money for those less fortunate

5B Mass

This Friday, 8 November, 5B will lead the Primary Mass. All family and friends are welcome to attend the Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 9:30am.

3W Mass

On Friday, 15 November, 3W will lead the Primary Mass on the feast day of St Albert the Great. St. Albert the Great was a scientist, a teacher, and a bishop who lived a long time ago. He loved learning about the world and taught others about the beauty of everything God made - from the stars in the sky to the smallest plants and animals. But most of all, St. Albert loved to grow in wisdom and knowledge about God. Family and friends are welcome to attend the Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 9:30am on Friday 15 November.

School Mass Times

Please note that school Mass times are now 9:30am at Sacred Heart Church. Please remember that hot beverages should not be brought into the church.
