Uniform
With summer coming, students should wear the summer dress without tracksuit pants underneath. If for cultural reasons students need to cover their arms and legs, please ensure that dark blue tights are worn.
Thank you to our 2 models in the picture below who are both wearing our summer uniform.
Jewellery
A reminder that wearing jewellery to school is limited to small stud earrings, not dangly earnings or necklaces. This is important to ensure the safety of the students while playing and participating in sports.
Transition and Kinder Visits
It has been a very busy week with our regular Wednesday Transition sessions going really well. Children are familiar with routines, and they are getting very good with lining up, sitting on the floor and listening to stories and participating in different activities.
We have also had groups of children from Deer Park West Kinder and the Early Learning Centre visiting with our current Foundation students performing different songs for them. It is wonderful to see how much our Foundation students have grown in confidence during this year. Well done to the Foundation students and teachers.
Reminder – placement of students in grades for 2025
Please let me know in writing by Friday the 8th of November if you have any information to help us when placing students for the 2025 school year. It is important I have the information now as it is difficult to make changes once classes are confirmed.
Parental Payments
Recently you received information regarding next year’s book packs (parental payments). We have kept the cost the same at $140 per student. As we did last year, we are offering a $10 discount for cash payments made by Friday the 13th of December 2024, so if you pay now, it is $130 per student. We trust that in these challenging financial times keeping the prices as low as possible while ensuring that our students have the best quality and all the materials and resources they need to learn, is helping our families.
Information Session
There are many challenges for parents and children around friendships and managing bullying and it is not always easy knowing how to help our children. Please find a link to an online session for parents on the 14th of November which might be useful.
