GRADE 6 GERMAN EXCURSION TO THE MUNICH BRAUHAUS –

A Day of Fun, Food and Festivity!

On Thursday, 14th November, the Grade 6 students embarked on a memorable German excursion to the Munich Brauhaus restaurant at South Wharf, where they were immersed in the lively atmosphere of Bavarian culture. The day was filled with delicious food, traditional German entertainment, and lots of laughter, making it an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.

A Taste of Germany

The students were treated to mouth-watering authentic German dishes, including golden, crispy schnitzels and hearty sausages – the perfect introduction to classic Bavarian cuisine. As if that wasn’t enough, the meal was rounded off with a sweet touch: warm apple strudel paired with creamy ice cream. The flavours of Germany came alive, as students held up their glasses singing ‘Ein Prosit der Gemütlichkeit (A toast to well-being)!’

Entertainment Fit for a Fest!

As the food and drinks flowed, the entertainment truly brought the Bavarian spirit to life. The students enjoyed some of Germany's most iconic cultural performances, including slap dancing, yodelling, and the distinctive sound of cowbells – an authentic touch that had everyone clapping along. The lively music and performances added to the festive atmosphere, with even the teachers joining in on the fun!

A Day to Remember

The Grade 6 excursion was more than just a day out—it was a celebration of students’ many years of German language learning at Rangeview Primary School. From the food to the entertainment, the day was filled with laughter, learning, and lots of new experiences.

This trip was an exciting and educational adventure that gave the students a deeper appreciation for German traditions and a day full of joy. A fantastic time was had by all!

Thank you to everyone who made this excursion possible, including our wonderful parent helpers. It was a day the Grade 6 students will remember for many years to come!

Should you have any queries about how to best support your child’s German language development, we would love to hear from you.
