Combined Schools Concert
On the 11th of November, the Junior and Senior Dance Groups represented our school at the Combined Schools Concert hosted by Groove Nation. The students had a spectacular time showing the audience what they had been practising all year and they did a fantastic job!
Below are some recounts from students in the dance group about their performance:

Dancing was fun and exciting. I represented our school by answering questions. It was a great night!

There's nothing like being on stage. The cheering from the crowd, the comperes talking excitedly about your dance and the music booming across the room. I was so excited to go on stage with my friends and when I was on stage, I felt the rush of energy coursing through me. It was so fun to be on stage and we did a spectacular job. In the finale, we were with all of the schools. It was really fun! After the show, I felt really proud of the group. I can't wait until the next show!

I was prepared, excited and nervous. Miss Kostoglou moved me to the front for the finale and that was fun. It was exhausting and tiring but I still had a go!

I was face to face with the doors of the concert and I was freaked out, but luckily, I had my friends by my side. I had the feeling when you are excited and nervous, like butterflies in my tummy. When the concert started, I was blown away by how amazing everyone's dancing was. Every second was a different colour, dance move, and smile. The happiness of being there was off my radar!

On Wednesday, I went to a concert late at night. We sat in a room behind the stage. There were many seats with different numbers. My seat had ten on it. The first dance was a fun dance. Peakhurst Public School was just before the Grand Finale. All the schools were in one finale. When the Grand Finale was finished, I followed the orange balloon down the hall.
