PSSA FINALS results:
Last Friday, we had three teams compete in the final series; senior netball, softball and tee ball. It was reported that all three teams displayed great sportsmanship, tried their little hearts out and left nothing in the tank. The senior netball team came in fourth overall.
Both the tee ball and softball team played in the grand final. Both teams played against Oatley and had extremely close games. The tee ball team played first and came away with a win of 11-9 which made them undefeated premiers for the season. The boys and girls in this team were highly competitive, committed to their training, and always gave it their best.
The senior softball team went into the grand final after defeating Beverly Hills in the semi final. They also played Oatley and had a extremely close game. At the end of the first innings, we were up by two, by the second innings we were drawn and we went onto play the third innings. We finished batting one in front and needed them not to score. We started with two out. Exactly what we needed to do but then they scored a run. The game was now drawn and we still needed to get one out. Oatley had one runner on third base and Jeff made an excellent decision to hold the ball and tag him out as the batter ran to first base on strike three. That meant three out and side away. The game ended in a draw 6-6 which is joint premiers between Oatley and ourselves.
