This term we will continue to celebrate mass in our levels with the parish community. This week our year six students and teachers attended Mass and it was wonderful to see many fo their parents and grandparents there.
Timetable Masses for this term:
Year 3 Wednesday 7th August 9:15
Year 5 Wednesday 21st August 9:15
Year 4 Wednesday 28th August 9:15
Year 1&2 Wednesday 4th September 9:15
Prep Wednesday 18th September 9:15
Whole school Mass for Feast of the Assumption
Thursday 15th August 11:40
If you have visited the foyer recently you may have seen the new art work. This was a collaborative pieces where each student at Holy Spirit contributed a dove. These doves were decorated on our Spirit Day celebrations in May. Around the art piece we have put the first line of our school prayer.
Come Holy Spirit, make within our hearts your home.
Our year 4 students have begun preparations for their First Eucharist which they will receive in August. Next week the students will take part in a workshop during the day where they will make some unleavened bread, work on an art piece to be displayed in the Church, re-enact the Last Supper and learn about different items in the Church.
At 5:30 the students will return to school to continue their Eucharist preparation with their parents.
Please keep these wonderful young people in your prayers as they take this important step in their faith journey.

Welcome back to Term 3. We hope you all had a relaxing winter break and that you stayed warm.
This weekend our First Eucharist children have their Rite of Commitment at all masses. Please note that the Sunday 5pm mass will be held in the Church not the Chapel as we are expecting larger than normal numbers to attend. Please keep these children and their families in your prayers. First Eucharist masses will be held over 2 weekends mid-August, Saturday and Sunday 10th and 11th August and Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th August.
First Eucharist workshops for the children will be held on Wednesday 31st July from 10.30 am onwards in the Church. The evening session for both parents and children will be held between 5.30-6.30 pm also in the Church.
Winter Shelter would like to thank all the wonderful cooks and those who have made a donation to the program. There are lots of dishes and containers waiting to be collected. They can be collected from the Church kitchen on Fridays from 3.15-3.45 pm or from 5pm onwards or after our weekend masses.
The next baptism information meeting will be held on Tuesday 13th August at 7.30 pm in the Parish House. Bookings are essential. Please contact the Parish House on 7036 9395 if you wish to attend.
Thank you and have a great fortnight.
