Plastic Free July
As Plastic Free July draws to a close, we reflect on the collective efforts and positive impact we've made towards reducing waste within our community. From swapping single-use plastics to reusable options, to embracing eco-friendly practices in our daily routines, each small change contributes significantly to preserving our environment for future generations. We hope that this initiative has not only sparked awareness but also inspired lasting habits that extend beyond this month. We encourage you to reflect on your journey this Plastic Free July and celebrate the progress made, whether big or small. Every action counts towards creating a cleaner and more sustainable world.

National Tree Day
Come along and help plant 4,000 plants as we celebrate National Tree Day! Join us and help make a difference and enhance the natural environment.
Council is once again supporting National Tree Day by co-hosting a free planting day at Eastfield Park, end of Lusher Rd, Croydon with First Friends of Dandenong Creek.
Join us and help plant 4,000 indigenous plants along the Tarralla Creek Trail to enhance the biodiversity and create more habitat for our native wildlife. We’ll dig the holes, but we’d love some help planting some trees, shrubs, grasses and groundcovers.
Activities on the day will include environment stalls and kids activities.
Wurundjeri man and Indigenous Educator Thane Garvey will also be facilitating a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony.
