COHR Library - "A child who READS will be an adult that THINKS!"
The BOOK FAIR is here and finishes tomorrow morning Friday 26th July.
THANK YOU to those families that have supported and bought some books from the Book Fair.
A Book Fair is an opportunity to purchase quality literature for your children or friends. All students have visited and previewed the books on offer. Purchases are made either online or orders can be placed in the class buckets with the correct purchase amount.
The last day to visit and purchase is tomorrow morning (Friday 26th) or online orders can be done tonight (Thursday 25th).
Please note there is no obligation to buy but our school does receive a generous commission in the form of books to add to our library.
BOOK WEEK @ COHR
"Reading Is Magic" is the theme for Book Week in 2024.
We are celebrating BOOK WEEK at COHR in week 5. Our traditional Book Character Parade will be held on Tuesday 13th August at 9am in the Courtyard.
Students are asked to come dressed as a book character from any book of their choice and bring the book if you have it. OR perhaps dress as something connected to the theme; Reading Is Magic?!
We will start the day with a parade in the courtyard and then classes will complete some book activities with each other. The staff have their character costumes organised! Parents and younger children can dress up too.
In week 4 of this term we have an incursion coming to us on Tuesday 6th August. Perform Education are presenting their current Book Week live show - 'Maybe A Miracle'. This will be sure to ignite the excitement and magic times that reading books brings us and lead us into a FUN Book Week celebration at COHR!
I'll be away for Book Week celebrations as I'll be taking some leave and holidaying in Italy. I'll return in the last week of term. Ciao
NAIDOC Week is held in the second week of the school holidays but COHR held a session in The Loft for all grades to visit to learn more about the culture and traditions of First nations people.
Wurundjeri Week is being introduced in week 4 at COHR. There will be a session in The Loft for grades to visit as well as some short introductory activities in classes that week.
Wurundjeri Week (7 - 13 August) is a time to recognise, remember and celebrate the Traditional Owners of the land we live on: the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people.

This move is the first step to provide greater functionality for users. There is no immediate action required by subscribers, however we would recommend updating saved bookmarks when you have time.
