Principal's Message
Please Note:
SCHOOL CLOSURE DAY - Friday 2nd August
Dear Parents and Guardians,
The Winter term has certainly arrived over the last two weeks. The Mini Vinnies Pyjama Day was certainly a welcome dose of warmth and cosiness that we all enjoyed! We are truly blessed by our amazing Mini Vinnies students. Their enthusiasm and hard work to help those less fortunate than ourselves is commendable.
The Winter Appeal for - soap, toothpaste, rice, sweet & savoury biscuits, coffee, long life milk, tinned fruit, Vegemite, peanut butter, breakfast cereal, sugar and pasta sauce - is continuing throughout winter, with the class who has given the most being rewarded with a casual clothes day to celebrate Spring! Remember to drop the items in the classrooms, so they can be counted as they are collected. Please note St Vincent de Paul has asked us not to collect pasta, as they have plenty. So please keep adding an item or two to your weekly shop and bringing it in. As it stands today we have collected 282 items.
The money raised from Donate a Dollar Day & Pyjama Day is totalling $371. Thank you.
School Closure Days
A reminder that this term there are two School Closure Days.
- Friday 2nd August - a Staff Spirituality Day &
- Monday 9th September - a Curriculum Planning Day and Art Show Preparation
Grandparents and Special Friends Day
Tomorrow to celebrate the Feast of Saints Joachim and Anne, Mary's parents and Jesus' grandparents, we welcome our own Grandparents and Special Friends.
We will begin in the classrooms from 8:45am, celebrate Mass in the Church where children can sit with their special guests and then the Grandparents and Special Friends are invited to share a morning tea in the Hall whilst being entertained by our School Choir.
Contributions to the Morning Tea will be very gratefully accepted from the start of the day, if you could take them straight to the Hall please.
