GRADE 4 SCIENCE DOME DISCOVERY
This term Grade 4s have been investigating Earth.
We have been developing our understanding of how Earth’s rotation and revolution and its tilt has an affect on us. We have learnt about the seasons, the moon phases and how they happen and the effect the Sun and Moon have on Earth. The Science Dome Discovery Incursion allowed us to visualise what is happening in space and gave us a broader understanding of our learning.

GRADE 1 - INQUIRY INCURSION
Last week the Grade Ones got a visit from Hands on Science and had a great time learning and exploring light and sound.
They did three different light experiments and another three sound experiments to really deepen their understanding on the properties. It was great to see all the student’s prior knowledge they had learnt over the term come together.
Here are some photos of what the students got up to.
Valkstone Primary Music Lesson Update:
Instrumental Music is off to a great start this year. Students have been learning a broad range of repertoire, from classical pieces by Bach and Mozart and movie themes like “Pirates of the Caribbean” to contemporary songs such as “Counting Stars” and “Lean On Me”.
It's great to see the progress being made by all of the music students, and especially our Valkstone Band! Lessons are held during school time on a Monday, and we currently have places available for Flute, Violin, Keyboard, and Drums.
To enrol or for more information regarding the program, you can contact Musicorp on 1300 858 911 or enrol directly at:
