I was delighted to be able to attend the transition camp last week to Rubicon.
A group of intrepid students and staff packed their warmest clothes and headed off for three nights and four days of fun and adventure. Students enjoyed many activities including rafting, high ropes course, campfire, bushwalking, campfire cooking, meeting some reptiles, games in the Rec. room and socialising with students and staff from Yarra Ranges SDS who were attending at the same time.
Thank you to our Croydon SDS staff team and Rubicon camp staff who supported our students so well to have such a great time. It was lovely to see students challenging themselves to try new things and see first hand their excitement and enjoyment of the camp experiences.

Many young people enjoy online gaming – from simple puzzle-based play through to strategic multiplayer games and creating their own virtual worlds.
Gaming can help improve your child’s coordination, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills, as well as build social skills through online interactivity with other players. Games can also be a great way to connect with your child and strengthen family relationships. But it’s also important to understand what can go wrong and how to keep your child safe.

A reminder to keep your child home if they are unwell. There have been high levels of student and staff illness over the past few weeks. It is important that families and school work together to keep our community as safe and well as possible.
Teachers have been working on student mid-year reports. You will receive your child's report at the end of this term. It has been good to read through these reports and hear of the progress that students have made towards their individual goals this semester. We hope you find these reports informative. If you have any questions about our child's report, please feel free to make a time to discuss with the classroom teacher.
Wishing all students and families a safe and relaxing holiday break from term time routines. We look forward to seeing you all in term 3. Stay warm!
