Harmony Week

Harmony Week is a time for staff and students to celebrate the richness of cultural diversity in the College and the importance of building bridges between different cultures and communities.  Throughout the week, there were lots of in-class and out-of-class activities. Here are some highlights!

A Happy Harmony Day Message from our Primary Students

Harmony Week Fence Sign Installation

Under the direction and coordination of our Visual Arts and Design teacher Mrs Hill, students of varying ages pooled their creativity to craft a visual representation of unity, echoing the core values of respect and belonging, in a Harmony Week fence sign "Everyone belongs".  This initiative promotes harmony and cultivates essential skills such as communication, cooperation, and empathy while fostering a deeper understanding of diversity.  As the vibrant colours and message of inclusion adorn the school fence, it stands as a powerful symbol of the community's commitment to celebrating diversity and ensuring that everyone feels valued and respected here at The King’s College.

Multicultural Dress-Up Day

The culmination of Harmony Week was a dress-up day. Students could wear traditional clothes from their country/ies of origin or orange. Primary students were also encouraged to bring traditional food to share with their class.
