Holy Week signifies the most important events in our Catholic liturgical calendar.
The week commences with Palm Sunday, with the culmination and greatest celebration, the Ressurrection of Jesus Christ at Easter Time. Our school's Alleulia Day, celebrating the Resurrection of our Lord, will take place on the first Thursday back in Term 2 .
Our students and teachers prepared for Holy Week through the creation of the events commencing this 'Great Week', as well as the Stations of the Cross, being located throughout the school. All classes were invited to pray and dialogue about the significance of each event during this week.
The school week concluded with the Senior classes leading the Stations of the Cross Liturgy in the hall on Wednesday at 9:05a.m where we witnessed the Crucifixion of Jesus.
Thank you to the family members who attended this solemn occasion with our school community as well as walking through our school for the Stations of the Cross display created by our staff and students. It is truly a powerful opportunity to experience Scripture and meaning of Holy Week.
Please view the Holy Week events and Stations of the Cross our students and staff created for this special liturgical teaching and learning opportunity.
I would like to take this opportunity in wishing everyone a blessed and holy Easter and a safe holiday.
The 2024 Sacramental Timetable is now available. Please take the time to view the attached timetable for next year's Reconciliation, First Eucharist and Confirmation scheduling.
Please note, there has been a change since last year, to the Confirmation Ceremony date, due to the Bishop's availability.
A hard copy of the Sacramental Timetable has also been sent home to all Year 3-6 students for your reference.
All workshops will be conducted in St Agatha's Church.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
God bless and stay courageous.
