PERFORMING ARTS

THAT’S A WRAP

Many performances have taken place during term two: East Campus Concert, String night, VCE Performance night, Conference of the birds-drama, Vocal Masterclass with Elena Xanthoudakis, Senior Ensembles concert, Stringfest 24’, Sounds on the grounds, Assemblies and more.

The Performing Arts Faculty - Classroom Music, Instrumental Music and Drama have nurtured and supported our students to enable them to display their artistic talents throughout the term.

Students engaged with a diverse range of musical genres, learnt fundamental and advanced techniques on their chosen instruments, and explored cultural and historical contexts during the process. The progress made by each student has been impressive, reflecting dedication, drive and passion for the Performing Arts.

I would like to thank the Instrumental music staff, music and drama teachers and support staff for continually striving for personal excellence. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication. To the many students who have worked very hard during the term, have a great holiday break, and thank you for your work this term.

VCE PERFORMANCES

Congratulations to all the VCE Music Performance students - Units 1 & 3, for performing at the VCE Music Night on Wednesday 5 June. The performance standard was at the highest that we've seen. Students were outstanding in taking the stage and presenting a piece from their recital programs. The performances were engaging and a wide range of styles and genres were presented on the night. Students also performed in a variety of settings - both solo and group. The event was well attended by staff, friends and family.
