Class Snapshot - Performing Arts

In Performing Arts this term we are focusing on storytelling.

The P-3's have been listening to and reenacting some well known contemporary Australian stories such as Wombat Stew and Possum Magic and this week we have begun looking at Dreamtime Creation stories and have listened to two different versions of Tiddalick the Frog.

The Year 4-6's have been focusing on developing their own skills of storytelling, in particular children's pantomimes and puppets. Students have been working at developing their skills as puppeteers and how their movements and voices help develp a character and tell a story. Next they will start working on scripting a short puppet play based on a fairytale that can be performed for the P-3's.
