Art Creative Practice Final Works

Throughout Term 1, students enrolled in Unit 3 Art Creative Practice have explored different mediums and techniques to create some amazing artworks, filled with personal meaning, that draw on the inspiration of other artists. Students have enjoyed the process and will continue to refine and develop their personal folios and their skills in creativity, throughout the year. Studying Art is an excellent way for students to develop the highly sought-after skill of creativity and at GNLC, our comprehensive program in the Arts has had considerable success in this area over the years. Please enjoy a selection of our student work from the term.

Second-Hand Uniform Clearance

During Week 1 only this term, there will be a clearance of second-hand uniform items that have either been donated to the College or unnamed and unclaimed from the lost property cupboard over several years. All items have prices marked to clear. A reminder that these items will be out of date from the 2026 school year as the new uniform changeover commences.

This is a good reminder to always ‘clearly name’ each of your child’s items for school so they don’t end up here in the future!

Proceeds of sales will be allocated to a student project or charity decided by SLC Members.

Our Diverse Community

We are a diverse community and welcome families who have come from many places from around the world to grow and learn at GNLC. We started the ‘Where did you come from’ world map during Harmony Week and will continue to have this on display in 2024. We invite you to add a pin to the map of your place of origin when passing through the front office. Speak with our College Receptionist, Malita, who will be more than happy to help you!

Car Park Safety

This term, there will be a strong focus on how our community uses the carpark in a way that ensures the safety of students, staff, and families.

Here are the five ‘golden rules’:

Golden Rule 1

Maximum carpark speed limit is 10km per hour at all times

Golden Rule 2

Do not leave your vehicle if you are stopped in the drop-off or pick-up zone (and avoid waiting in this area for long periods)

Golden Rule 3

Only cross at the pedestrian crossings

Golden Rule 4

Follow the instructions of staff members on duty as they are there to help

Golden Rule 5

Be courteous and kind to all carpark users… we are all part of the GNLC community!
