Secondary Years Update

Welcome back to the start of Term 2. We have an exciting term ahead with many activities occurring for the Secondary Year students. Throughout the term there are various sporting activities ranging from the interschool competitions to our House Cross Country in Week 2, and the House Athletics Day at the end of the term.

Various learning areas are also engaging with excursions, incursions and competitions. These co-curricular activities are wonderful opportunities for our students to grow as holistic learners. Parents, please be sure to look out for notifications in Schoolbox and via Signmee emails when permission for such activities is sought.

Year 10 and 11 students will be preparing for their end-of-semester exams this term, while the Year 12 students will be preparing for their GAT exam. End-of-semester exams are an important part of student preparation for their final Year 12 VCE exams. Students should view the exam period as an opportunity for learning and reflection. Please check the College Calendar for the dates of these exams.

Uniform

As we move into the colder and wetter months of the year, students may choose to wear their rain jackets when at school and outdoors. Students must still wear their blazers to and from school and are not to wear their rain jackets when inside. The same expectation also applies to beanies, which are not to be worn when indoors.

Late Arrivals/Early Departures

Students are reminded that all late arrivals must sign in through the Front Office. Any early departure of a student must be notified to the Front Desk by parents prior to the student needing to leave. The student must then sign up via the Front Office. In both cases, this is so that we can ensure the safety of your children, and we appreciate the cooperation of parents and students in following this expectation.
