Welcome Back to School

Welcome back to Term 2.  I hope that you all had the opportunity to spend some time together with family and friends during the Easter holiday period.  Easter is a special time in the Christian church when we remember and celebrate the ultimate sacrifice and gift of love that God gave to us all.  The death and resurrection of his son Jesus. 

As families begin to prepare for Term 2, please check that students have the correct uniform and resources needed.  As the colder temperatures arrive it is a timely reminder to check uniform items that may not have been worn during the summer months. 

Term 2 will commence for students on both Mambourin and Tarneit campuses on Tuesday, 16 April.  Staff at Good News will be involved in professional development on Monday, 15 April.

A school is very quiet and not the same without students in it. We look forward to our students returning next Tuesday.

Preparing for Term 2 - Campus Update

Our grounds and cleaning staff have been busy during the holiday break to ensure all is ready for Term 2. Cleaning, mowing, gardening, and a number of building projects will be completed for when students return for Term 2. New break-out areas with new ‘turf’ will be ready for use, and the new covering for the Secondary Years Basketball Courts should arrive soon… just in time for the wet weather.  The front ‘paddock’ space is now grassed and should be ready for play later during the term (weather permitting). Thanks to those who have made all this happen behind the scenes for our students!

New fencing and gates are nearing completion around the inside perimeter of the College to assist with the security and safety of all students and families. Once gates close at the start of lessons in the morning, all students arriving late or leaving early need to report to the Administration Office to sign in or sign out. Gates will re-open ready for the end of the school day.
