Annual General Meeting

The 2024 Old Virgilians Annual General Meeting will be on Monday 25 March at the St Virgil’s Junior Campus starting at 7.00pm. Hopefully we can get a good attendance. Nominations for the new committee can be gained from the secretary per grainbow@stvirgils.tas.edu.au or by calling on 0467 514 667. 

The current committee are seeking an amendment to the Association’s Constitution to enable payment of scholarship under certain circumstances and donated funds held by the Association to be made for the benefit of current and future Old Virgilians, rather than just the interest on those funds. 

A copy of the proposed amendment and the associated rationale can be obtained through the secretary - grainbow@stvirgils.tas.edu.au.

The Annual General Meeting will be a further opportunity for members and the Committee to consult on the role of the OVA in the College Community.

Annual Dinner

The 2024 Old Virgilians' Association Annual Dinner, originally planned for March 2024, has been moved to Friday 11 October. The event will take place at the New Town Rowing Centre. Booking arrangements will be provided nearer to the event.

OVA Golf Day

Golf Day will be held on Friday 8 November 2024. Entry details will be provided in upcoming editions of the OVA newsletter. 

Year 12 Graduation – Memorial Mass/OVA Luncheon 

                                                                                                                                                        Wednesday 23 October – St Mary’s Cathedral (Memorial Mass)/Junior Campus (OVA Luncheon)

Consideration is being given to OVA luncheons for 2024 – where/when/if. No decisions have been made at this stage. Suggestions are welcome.

It is the intention of the OVA Committee to have another 2024 Melbourne reunion given the success of this event last year. The date proposed is on Friday 25 October.

1984 Leavers Reunion
