A timely reminder about Interim Reports, which will be available for viewing at the end of Term 1. These reports provide an overview of your child’s performance indicators, and I highly encourage families to take the time to review them together.
Work Experience
Our Year 10 students are embarking on the exciting journey of exploring opportunities for their Term 2 work experience. They will soon be seeking ideas and suggestions from you at home, and I want to express my gratitude in advance for your support.
River Cruise
Additionally, on the horizon for our Year 10 cohort is the much-anticipated River Cruise (with the Year 11s) down the Swan River aboard the Crystal Swan. This is a fantastic opportunity for Year 10s to dress up and dance the night away in their first social occasion for 2024. Departing from Barrack St Jetty on Friday April 19, students will need to purchase tickets before the end of term to secure their spot. This promises to be a memorable evening filled with laughter and dancing.
NAPLAN
Year 9 students commenced their NAPLAN assessments this week. It is crucial for students to remember to bring their laptops to school fully charged to ensure a smooth experience during the sessions. Importantly, all students will require headphones on Monday for their Language Conventions test.
Sports Carnivals
Excitement is brewing among our Year 9s for the upcoming NWAS One Day Carnivals on 20 March. Students will be participating in a variety of sports including Basketball and Volleyball at Warwick Stadium, and Cricket and Ultimate Frisbee at Britannia Reserve. Wishing the best of luck to all participants next week!
School Values
As we navigate through the remainder of the term, it is essential to uphold our school values and expectations regarding behaviour. Let's continue to demonstrate respect, responsibility, and kindness towards one another, both inside and outside the classroom. Parental support in reinforcing these principles at home is greatly appreciated and contributes to maintaining a positive and inclusive school community.
Thank you for your ongoing cooperation, and here's to a successful conclusion to the term for all our students.
