Dragons ready to dive in

Our preparation for next week's ACC interschool swimming contest is going strong - as you can see by Keira’s, Fieke’s and Cooper’s streamlined diving techniques (below). We have been hitting the pool at Trinity College every Monday and Wednesday at 6.30am where Milla Howard, our 2023 School Captain, is coaching the team through the finer details as we edge closer to the meet date.

I would like to sincerely congratulate all Year 7-10 Students who have completed their PE Swimming Lessons. Students demonstrated excellent organisation and commitment to the swimming program. 

One Day Carnivals

To finish Term One, Classes will be practicing the North Western Associated Schools (NWAS) sports of Basketball, Ultimate Frisbee, Cricket and Volleyball in preparation for their One Day Carnivals which are taking place next week:

1.            Year 7 & 8 One Day Carnival: 19 March

2.            Year 9 & 10 One Day Carnival:  20 March

Selected students have been notified of their involvement in the team and must ensure they assemble in the Fitness Centre at 8am. 

New ACC Dragons Tops

Our shipment of ACC rep tops are on their way. Can't wait to see how we look as the St George's Dragons. Sports Captain Will is pretty excited too.

Basketball

The Senior Boys ACC Championship Basketball Team are commended on their representation of the school. They competed against John Septimus Roe (JSR) on Wednesday and demonstrated graciousness and tenacity on court. JSR are known for being exceptionally strong in Basketball, but our boys never gave up and faced the game with determination. The team are a strong unit working cohesively. Jasper Bridgeman and Brayden Tan demonstrated leadership on the court and were our highest goal scorers. We wish the boys the very best of luck in their final game next week against Mercy College. Many thanks to another alumni student, Sebastian Millington, who has willingly volunteered to coach the team.
