Team Highlights
Flames U12 Div 1
What a great way to finish the regular season. Moving up to Division 1 meant facing some tough competition and a few heavy losses, but the girls have continued to play with passion and determination throughout.
Their skills have improved immensely over the season, particularly in defence, which was clearly on show in last week’s derby against Griffins Fever.
The team should be proud of the effort, resilience, and growth they have shown all season.

Our winter sport committees are busily preparing for the upcoming season, and we’re now only a few weeks away from the start!

Netball trials have now concluded and teams are in the process of being finalised.
Late expressions of interest may be considered, subject to grade availability and team vacancies. Players wishing to enquire about a late nomination are encouraged to contact netball@griffins.org.au as soon as possible.
Please note that placement cannot be guaranteed and will depend on available positions within each grade.
Griffins Soccer
2026 Season Update
Registrations are now open for the 2026 Griffins Soccer season. Families intending for their child to play next year are asked to complete the nomination process as soon as possible as teams will be finalised in the next few weeks.
Early nominations are vital to enable the club to confirm team entries, secure competition places, appoint coaches and coordinate uniform requirements. Without confirmed player numbers, teams and competition registrations cannot be finalised.
If your child would like to participate in the 2026 season, please complete the nomination via the link below at your earliest convenience.

Albany Junior Soccer Association – Girls Only Competition
We are continuing to seek additional registrations for the Girls' Only Competition. While it is anticipated that the competition will proceed, further expressions of interest are needed to ensure Griffins can confidently nominate and support teams. If your daughter is interested in participating, we encourage you to register your interest promptly to assist with planning and team nominations via the link below.
2026 Griffins Girls Only Soccer League Nominations
Committee Position – Secretary Required
Griffins Soccer is also seeking a dedicated and organised volunteer to fill the role of Club Secretary for the 2026 season. This is a key committee position that supports the smooth operation of our club.
The Secretary role includes:
- Coordinate committee meetings (agendas, notices, minutes and bookings)
- Manage club communications, including email and liaison with parents, coaches, managers and the association
- Support the Registrar during nominations and registrations
- Oversee Squadi and team allocations
- Maintain club records and documentation
This role would suit someone who is organised, confident in communication and comfortable using email and online platforms. You will be well supported by the committee and play an important role in shaping the 2026 season. Pre-season Training
Pre-season training will commence in March for Years Five and up, with full details outlined in the flyer below.

Griffins Hockey
Griffins Hockey Nominations Now Open!
Nominations for the upcoming Griffins Hockey season are now open.
Our new committee has been working hard behind the scenes to organise teams and secure coaches, and we are looking forward to another fantastic season on the field.
We are excited to announce the addition of a second Men’s B Grade team and a Women’s B Grade team in 2026. Players who have previously been involved in hockey and are looking to return in a fun, social environment are strongly encouraged to nominate.
We particularly encourage teachers and school staff, parents, and anyone keen for a run-around and some great community spirit to consider joining our senior B Grade teams. It is a wonderful way to stay active, connect with others, and be part of the Griffins community.
Hockey nominations are open for all age groups from Pre-Primary through to adults. We look forward to welcoming both returning and new players this season.
